Done Right the First Time

A CCTV system is only as good as the install. Wrong camera angles, cheap cables, bad weatherproofing, or a poorly configured NVR and you end up with blurry footage right when you need it most. We design systems around your actual property — walk the site, identify blind spots, pick the right camera for each location, and run proper cabling. You get footage that actually works, remote access that actually loads, and a system you can expand later.

4K IP Cameras

Razor-sharp footage, wide coverage, and night vision that actually works in Canadian darkness

NVR Recording

Hardwired recording with weeks of storage, motion detection, and smart alerts

Remote Viewing

Check any camera from your phone, tablet, or desktop — anywhere in the world

Expandable Systems

Start with 4 cameras, add more later without ripping out what you already installed

What We Install

IP CCTV Camera Systems

Modern CCTV runs over your network, not analog coax. We install 4K and 8MP IP cameras from brands like Hikvision, Dahua, Uniview, Axis, and Hanwha. PoE (Power over Ethernet) means one cable handles both power and data — cleaner install, fewer failure points. Works with existing network or a dedicated camera network, whichever makes more sense for your setup.

NVR & Recording Systems

Network Video Recorders store your footage locally so you are not relying on the cloud (or paying cloud fees forever). We size the hard drive for how much footage you actually need — 2 weeks, 30 days, 60 days, whatever your business or property demands. Motion-triggered recording saves space. RAID backup options for commercial setups where losing footage is not an option.

Wireless & Cellular CCTV

Not every property can be hardwired. For sites without power or ethernet — construction jobs, parking lots, remote buildings — we install solar-powered or cellular CCTV systems. Monthly data plan, solar panel for power, same 4K quality as wired cameras. Good for temporary setups or hard-to-reach spots.

Commercial CCTV for Business

Warehouses, retail stores, offices, condos, restaurants — each has different needs. Warehouses need wide perimeter coverage and loading dock angles. Retail needs POS-area coverage and customer-counting. Condos need lobby, parking, and package-room cameras. We build systems around the real use case, not a generic template.

Residential CCTV

Front door, driveway, side yard, backyard, garage — a proper residential CCTV system covers every entry point and blind spot. We work with single-family homes, townhouses, and multi-unit buildings. Integrates with smart home platforms if you want camera alerts on your phone alongside your other systems.

Upgrading Old Camera Systems

Got an old analog DVR setup from 10 years ago? We can upgrade the cameras and recorder without ripping out your cabling (usually). Most older coax runs can be reused with the right converters. If your existing system is beyond saving, we plan a clean cutover with minimal downtime — especially important for businesses where you cannot leave gaps in coverage.

Camera Types We Install

Bullet Cameras

Long-range, weatherproof, visible deterrent — ideal for exterior walls, driveways, and perimeter coverage

Dome Cameras

Discreet, tamper-resistant, wide-angle — ideal for interior ceilings, lobbies, and retail spaces

PTZ Cameras

Pan, tilt, and zoom remotely — ideal for large parking lots, warehouses, and active monitoring

Turret Cameras

Flexible mounting, strong low-light performance — ideal for covered entries and sheltered areas

Fisheye Cameras

360-degree coverage from a single unit — ideal for open retail floors and large rooms

Thermal & LPR

Thermal imaging and license plate recognition for high-security and commercial access control

Our Install Process

No surprises, no ghosting after the quote. Every CCTV install follows the same process:

1. Free Site Survey

We visit your property, walk the site, and figure out exactly what coverage you need. Blind spots, lighting conditions, cable routes, power access — we catch all of it before quoting. For commercial sites, we bring recommendations based on similar businesses we have worked with.

2. Transparent Quote

Fixed-price quote with every camera, cable run, and connector itemized. You know exactly what you are paying for. No upsells, no “oh we also need this” mid-install.

3. Professional Install

Cables run cleanly through walls and ceilings (not stapled to the outside of your house). Cameras mounted at proper heights and angles. NVR placed where it is safe from tampering. Weatherproofing done right — gel-filled connectors, proper drip loops, exterior-rated cables.

4. Configuration & Training

Motion zones set up, recording schedules configured, smartphone apps installed and tested. We walk you through how to view live feeds, pull recorded footage, and export clips if you ever need them for insurance or police.

5. Follow-Up Support

We do not disappear after install. Questions six months later? Camera getting a weird angle after a storm? We are a call or email away. Maintenance plans available for commercial clients who want scheduled check-ups.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does CCTV installation cost in Toronto?
Most installers in the GTA charge $150-$300 per camera installed. A 4-camera residential system typically runs $1,500-$2,000 installed. Small business setups (4-8 cameras with NVR) usually land between $2,500-$5,000. Commercial warehouse systems with 16+ cameras and enterprise-grade gear can range from $8,000 to $25,000+ depending on coverage, cable runs, and camera brand. We provide free on-site quotes with no pressure — that is the only way to give you an accurate number.
4K vs 1080p — which do I actually need?
For most residential and small business installs, 1080p or 4MP is plenty. Upgrade to 4K when you need to identify faces or license plates at distance, cover a large area with fewer cameras, or zoom into recorded footage after the fact. 4K storage costs more, so we size the NVR accordingly. We walk you through the trade-offs during the quote.
Can I view my cameras from my phone?
Yes, every system we install includes smartphone and tablet apps (iOS and Android). Live view, recorded playback, motion alerts, two-way audio on supported cameras — all from your phone. Works on cellular or Wi-Fi, anywhere with internet.
How long does footage get stored?
Depends on your NVR hard drive size, number of cameras, resolution, and how much motion is happening. Typical residential setups hold 2-4 weeks. Commercial systems with larger drives can store 30-60 days or more. Motion-triggered recording extends storage dramatically compared to continuous recording.
Do I need internet for CCTV to work?
No — CCTV records locally to the NVR whether you have internet or not. Internet is only needed for remote viewing from your phone or for cloud backup. If your internet goes down, your cameras keep recording normally.
Can you upgrade my old DVR system?
Usually yes. Older coax (analog) cabling can often be reused with modern HD-TVI or HD-CVI cameras and a compatible DVR. If your old cables are too degraded or you want to move to IP cameras, we run new Cat6 cable. During the site visit, we tell you exactly what can be reused and what needs replacing.
Do I need a permit for CCTV installation in Toronto?
For cameras installed on your own private property (home or business) pointed at your own land, no permit is required in Toronto. If your security system connects to a central monitoring station that dispatches emergency services, you will need an alarm permit from the City of Toronto. Cameras that capture public sidewalks or neighbouring property should be angled to minimize that coverage under Canadian privacy guidelines. We advise on all of this during the site survey.
Are there monthly fees for the CCTV systems you install?
No. Every system we install records locally to your own NVR — you own the footage, there are no cloud subscriptions, no monthly storage fees, and no licensing costs. The only ongoing cost is your internet bill (already paid) if you want remote smartphone viewing. Optional cloud backup or professional monitoring is available if you want it, but it is never required.
Wired vs wireless CCTV — which is better?
Wired PoE cameras are more reliable, deliver higher quality, and are the standard for any permanent install — home or commercial. Wireless cameras work for renters, hard-to-cable locations, or temporary setups, but they depend on Wi-Fi signal, need charging or wired power, and are more vulnerable to interference. For 90% of installs we recommend wired. For the other 10% (detached sheds, garages without conduit, rental units), wireless or cellular is the practical answer.

A friend, who is a contractor, referred Acetec to me, and I contacted them on a Thursday with my project details—an 8-camera exterior home security system connected to an NVR/network. They responded promptly and were on-site early Saturday morning. The team was well-organized and came prepared, conducting a thorough walk-around before recommending the most efficient setup. They completed the installation and cleanup in about 5 hours. After installation, they performed a final walk-around, adjusted the camera angles to my exact specifications, and provided a quick tutorial on the software/app, allowing me to easily access the cameras on my phone. Punctual. Pleasant. Professional.

They showed up on the appointment date and installed four HD cameras around the house, ran the wires to basement, installed necessary hardware to show all four pictures on a 24" monitor. They also helped us to install related AP on our cellphones. We can now monitor around our house 24/7 from anywhere. It took them half a day to complete the job.
We are very happy by the service we received.
