Lights, locks, cameras, climate, blinds — one app. Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa. Installed and configured by real automation pros.
Most “smart home” installs are a Frankenstein of apps that don’t talk to each other. We design yours so everything runs through one platform (Apple Home, Google Home, or SmartThings) — one app, one set of routines, one place to control everything.
Apple Home, Google Home, Alexa, or SmartThings as the hub. Everything routes through it.
Lights and switches stay reliable. Battery devices for what doesn’t need 100% uptime.
“When I leave home, lock doors, arm cameras, turn off lights, set thermostat to away.” Done.
Future-proof gear. Add devices over time without ripping out what you have.
Lutron Caséta, Philips Hue, Aqara. Dimmers, scenes, voice control, schedules. Hardwired or bulb-based.
Ecobee, Google Nest, Honeywell. Geofencing, energy monitoring, multi-zone.
Schlage, Yale, August, Aqara. Cold-rated, app-controlled, keypad + biometric. See smart locks →
Ring, Eufy, Aqara, Reolink. Hardwired PoE or battery. Apple Home Secure Video supported.
Lutron Serena, Aqara, IKEA. Solar charging, scheduled, voice control.
Sonos, AirPlay 2, Google Cast. Multi-room sync, voice control, doorbell integration.
Starter ($800–$1,500): 1 smart lock + 1 video doorbell + 4 smart bulbs + Apple/Google hub setup. Configured, paired, automated.
Connected home ($2,500–$5,000): Lighting (8–15 switches), thermostat, locks, doorbell, 4–8 cameras, hub + routines. Everything in one app.
Whole-home ($8K–$25K+): Full Lutron lighting, multi-zone climate, blinds, audio, security, access control. New builds and full renos.
All pricing CAD, parts and labour included. Final number depends on home size, existing wiring, and feature mix.
A good home automation install means:
Goodbye routines — lock door, set thermostat, arm cameras, all from one button.
Welcome routines — door unlocks for family, lights come on, climate adjusts.
Vacation mode — lights vary nightly, blinds open/close, motion alerts on.
Energy monitoring — see where heating, lighting, and appliance load lives.
Family sharing — everyone has access on their phone, with permission levels.
Voice everything — Siri, Google Assistant, or Alexa controls everything.
Most pre-1980s houses in Toronto, North York, and Aurora have no neutral wire in the switch box — the single most common reason DIY smart switches fail. We handle it with no-neutral switches (Lutron Caséta, Aqara) or by running a neutral where the box allows. Knob-and-tube remnants, aluminum wiring, plaster walls — we’ve worked around all of it.
Condo boards limit what you can touch, and renters can’t modify wiring at all. We build condo setups around devices that leave no trace: bulb-based lighting, retrofit smart locks that keep your existing deadbolt key, battery sensors, and plug-in automation. Everything comes with you when you move.
If your walls are open, automate before drywall. We pre-wire for Lutron lighting, motorized blinds, speakers, PoE cameras, and a proper network closet — pre-wiring during a reno costs a fraction of retrofitting after. We coordinate directly with your contractor or builder.
Canadian winters drive half of what we automate. These are the routines that come up again and again:
Winter vacation protection — temperature sensors alert your phone if the furnace dies while you’re away, before pipes freeze. Water-leak sensors under the water heater and washing machine shut the smart valve automatically.
Cold-weather lock checks — doors auto-lock at 11pm, and you get a notification if the garage or side door has been open more than 10 minutes when it’s below freezing.
Heated floor & driveway schedules — bathroom floors warm before your alarm goes off; snow-melt systems trigger off the weather forecast instead of running all season.
Humidity-triggered fans — bathroom fans run off a humidity sensor, not a timer. Stops condensation and mould in tightly sealed newer builds.
Sunrise blinds in winter — south-facing blinds open automatically on sunny winter days for free solar heat, close at dusk to hold it in.
Cottage mode — lights vary realistically every evening, thermostat holds at 12°C, cameras arm, and the system texts you if anything moves. One button when you leave for the cottage.
1. Ecosystem pick (free, 15 min by phone). Apple, Google, Alexa, or SmartThings — we go with what your household already uses, then design around it.
2. Site walk. For connected-home and whole-home jobs we check your Wi-Fi coverage, switch boxes (neutral wire or not), and panel before quoting. The quote is itemized per room.
3. Install day. Switches, locks, thermostat, cameras, hub. Most connected-home jobs are done in 1–3 days; we don’t leave wiring exposed overnight.
4. Routines built with you. We don’t hand you a box of paired devices — we sit down and build your goodbye, welcome, bedtime, and vacation routines together, then test them.
5. Handoff & support. Everyone in the house gets the app set up with the right permission level. You get our number; firmware updates and “it stopped responding” calls are covered for the first year.
Tell us what you want automated and we’ll quote a starter pack or full setup. Free site walks for whole-home jobs.
